Andrea Vag has
fifteen years of experience in
U.S.
immigration law, specializing in the provision of sophisticated
legal counseling to corporate clients. Prior to starting her own
practice in 2005, Ms. Vag was a Senior Attorney for eight years at
the international corporate immigration firm of
Fragomen
,
Del
Rey, Bernsen & Loewy where
she managed the corporate immigration matters of nearly fifty
corporations and oversaw thousands of immigration cases.
Andrea has counseled clients in a wide array of
industries, including information technology, pharmaceutical,
medical devices & diagnostics, telecommunications, finance,
accounting, engineered materials, chemical & industrial
engineering, international business news & publishing, business
consulting, petroleum, law firms, medical centers and higher
education, and many others.
Ian Grodman
brings to the Firm sixteen years of legal experience
including experience in litigation, family-based and
adoption-related immigration, family law, work at the American Civil
Liberties Union, and pro bono work on
behalf of children in the areas of adoption and foster care,
including service
as a Law Guardian for New
Jersey’s Public
Advocate's Office. Mr. Grodman also was commended for his pro bono
work on behalf of survivors of domestic violence. Mr. Grodman
recently moderated a discussion on the local impact of immigration
at the First Suburbs Network Conference held at the New Jersey State
House in
Trenton
. He is listed as a
recommended Immigration Attorney by the U.S. Committee for Refugees
and Immigrants. Prior
to starting his own practice in 2003, Mr. Grodman was a Partner at
Newman Fitch Altheim Myers.
Anindita Chowdhury serves as Of Counsel
to the Firm. Ms. Chowdhury has over fifteen years of
experience in U.S. and Global Immigration
Law, including managing the immigration accounts of multiple Fortune 500 companies. Ms.
Chowdhury was responsible for the formulation
of U.S. immigration solutions for
several leading Indian information technology companies. She also has
traveled to U.S. Consulates around the world to represent
clients. Ms. Chowdhury has a J.D. from the Washington College of
Law, American University. She is admitted to the District
of Columbia Court of Appeals. She is a member
of AILA and is fluent in English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati and
Urdu.
Carrie
Rakvica, the Firm’s Managing Paralegal,
possesses eleven years of experience with employment-based
immigration matters for high-profile clients, including Fortune 500
companies. Carrie has extensive experience in overseeing large
caseloads to meet critical deadlines and client expectations. In
addition to working with Andrea and Ian to prepare complex
immigration matters, Carrie assists in the supervision of junior
paralegal/support staff. Carrie’s keen attention to detail and
dedication to client satisfaction are among the many qualities that
Carrie brings to the firm.
